Founded in 2007 in Cincinnati, OH by Stacey Smith, Soapbox Tees is a creative, urban and socially conscious lifestyle clothing company. Stacey’s vision is to design clothing that represents a variety of influences, a reflection of her environment and passions. As an activist, writer, and devout volunteer, Stacey’s experiences working with low-wage workers establish workers rights, connecting displaced people in the community with sustainable resources, and campaigning for Immigration Reform fuels her drive for promoting social responsibility.

Soapbox Tees remains committed to the principles that took it from scribbles on a pad to textile art. Our success is a result of our commitment to raising social awareness and fundraising for national and global causes. For the consumer, Soapbox Tees delivers a universal message that breaks stereotypes and ethnic boundaries. And yes, our t-shirts are made from recycled and organic cotton.

“We all have a responsibility to contribute in the world we live in. Hunger and displacement feels the same no matter what part of the world you live in. Growing up, my mother provided for four children working as a domestic worker. I knew what it felt like to be an underdog and inclined to give this population a voice. I want to reflect that attitude in Soapbox Tees.” said Ms. Smith.
